If you’re looking into gaming, get something from ASUS offshoot for gamers – a ROG (Republic of Gamers).

ROG systems are more adequately designed for gamers – usually has better gear, hardware and more efficient cooling. They’re also a steal at times.

While a sleek design is all good and well, sometimes you need a laptop that can stand up to a long day’s work. The ASUS Chromebook C202 is just that, with a spill-resistant keyboard and reinforced rubber wrapped edges to absorb impact. It scored best in its class on a drop test, withstanding falls up to 3.9 feet without damage.

Its 11.6-inch, 1366 x 768 anti-glare display makes it easy to use even in the sunny outdoors and it has a 180-degree hinge for easy viewing. On the inside, it packs an Intel Celeron N3060 processor with 4GB of DDR3 RAM and 16GB of Flash storage, which should be ample for most computing tasks. It doesn’t have a CD or DVD drive, but that’s pretty standard on a rugged machine.

Whether it’s the awesome-sounding speakers, outstanding hardware performance or the stylish design, the ASUS ROG Strix Hero II is a highly appealing option for PC gaming. It’s unusual to see a nearly bezel-less display at 5mm that’s priced in the ROG Strix Hero II space but it’s a welcome design addition. ASUS even doubled down on the 144Hz IPS-type 15.6-inch display that operates with a 3ms response time. The higher refresh rate reduces ghosting and blurring for a clearer picture while the internal hardware makes sure you’re never caught lagging.

This model contains an 8th generation Intel Core i7 3.9GHz processor with a GeForce GTX 1060 gaming card with 6GB of dedicated RAM. Installing and playing games is easy with plenty of storage on the 256GB SSD that works in tandem with the 1TB hard drive, and both have 16GB of RAM for outstanding day-to-day gaming performance. Integrated 802.11ac WiFi includes Intel’s Wave 2 technology, which makes for Gigabit-capable internet speeds and Range Boost technology for acquiring the strongest signal. All of this makes for smooth and responsive online play.

Setting a high bar for portability in the ASUS laptop lineup, the ZenBook S packs powerful components into a small frame. Composed of military- and aerospace-grade aluminum for a longer life, the 2.2-pound, 0.5-inch thin ZenBook S provides premium performance with top-of-the-line internal hardware. It also has Intel’s latest 8th generation Intel Core i7 4GHz processor, 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD, making the ZenBook S a dream for those who take their work on the go.

But the size doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice any functionality. The vibrant 14-inch UHD 4K display offers enough screen space for multitasking while remaining highly portable. ASUS’ ErgoLift hinge even gives users a new degree of ergonomic support by raising the keyboard off a table or desk ever so slightly for a more comfortable typing experience (this also increases airflow underneath to keep the ZenBook S cool during extended use). Working away from an outlet is no problem as the laptop has nine hours of battery life and, with fast charging onboard, can recharge up to 60% in just 49 minutes.

The ASUS F556 strikes a harmonious balance between beautiful design and impressive power, making it our overall favorite ASUS laptop. At first glance, you’ll fall for its icicle-gold metallic frame and just how thin it is, measuring 15 x 10.1 x 1 inches. Inside, it packs a 7th-generation Intel Core i5 processor, a 256GB solid-state drive and 8GB of DDR4 RAM, letting you boot up fast and multi-task with ease. It also boasts best-in-class connectivity with USB 3.0 Type-C, HDMI, and VGA ports, a 3-in-1 card reader and more.

Its 15.6-inch full HD display features a blue light filter, which essentially diminishes blue light levels by up to 33 percent, making reading easier on the eyes. If that’s not enough, its Li-Polymer battery delivers up to 700 charge cycles, roughly 2.5 times that of a Li-ion battery, and won’t deteriorate as fast.

Whether you’re in the market for a 2-in-1 because of its portability, versatility or good-looking design, the ASUS Chromebook C302 is hands down our favorite. With a 360-degree hinge and a 12.5-inch Corning Gorilla Glass, full-HD touchscreen, you can use it in four modes: laptop, tablet, stand and tent. If productivity is important for you, you’ll especially love its comfortable, full-size keyboard, which is reminiscent of a MacBook’s and has 1.4mm of key travel, not to mention minimal key float.

Don’t be fooled by its sleek design, though: the C302 houses a powerfully fast Intel m3 core processor with 64GB of storage and 4GB of RAM, which lets you boot up in about 3.5 seconds.

On top of it all, its battery will last you a solid nine hours, and it has a removable battery pack to you can swap in a new one if you’re running low. Workaholics will especially like the ASUS Business Manager software, which the company describes as “a one-stop manageability and security solution specially designed for small businesses without a managed IT environment.”

Designers delight! This ASUS VivoBook S 510 has a screen so beautiful you’ll never want to stop working. The 15.6-inch full HD display has just a 0.3-inch NanoEdge bezel, giving it a 80 percent screen-to-body ratio and making all other laptops look old. It also boasts 178-degree viewing angles, so that colors remain crisp even when viewed from the side. On the whole, the laptop weighs just 3.7 pounds and measures a slim 0.7 inches.

Running editing software can be quite a burden on a computer, but this ASUS handles it while staying cool, thanks to its Intel Core i7 processor, plus 8GB of DDR4 RAM and 128GB M.2 SSD + 1TB HDD. It also has an ergonomic, backlit keyboard to keep you on task during late-night design sprints.
